There are four methods of getting your emails into your @mailparser.io inbox:
- Manually forward an email once you receive it
- Create automatic forwarding filters in your email client
- Tell the sender to directly send a copy to mailparser.io
- Import .eml files directly from the parsing rule editor tab
Choosing which of the four methods depends entirely on your use-case. For example, if you use mailparser.io as an on-demand processing tool, forwarding each email manually one by one is a good solution. You can also forward multiple messages as .eml file attachments to your inbox (read more here).
Most of our users however use the second or the third method and have their workflow fully automated.
The second method is to create a forwarding rule in your email client which will do the bulk forwarding for you. This method works great if you use Gmail or Outlook. One advantage of this method is that you can define very precisely which emails should be forwarded. Below you'll find two support articles describing how to set this up.

If you have the ability to change the email settings directly at the source, sending an email from the source directly to your mailparser.io inbox is probably the fastest and most reliable option.
In any case, we recommend that you have a copy of all emails somewhere outside of mailparser.io. We recommend this because mailparser.io is not meant to be a permanent data storage. We keep your emails and all associated data for only a certain time in our system. By default, the time span is set 30 days, you can choose a value between 5 minutes and 60 days (Enterprise customers can raise the limit up to 120 days).
