Overview
The Name Column Headers filter allows you to assign custom names to columns in a parsed table.
This helps make your data easier to understand and use when:
- Reviewing parsed results
- Exporting files
- Sending data via integrations or webhooks
Column names will appear in both downloads and webhook payloads.
How It Works
By default, extracted tables do not include column names. Each column will have the number appended to the end of the rule name such as _0 etc
This filter lets you manually define headers so each column is clearly labeled and easier to map in other systems.
How to Use It
Step 1: Add the Filter
- Open your parsing rule
- Click Add Table Filter
- Navigate to:
Split, Merge & Transpose → Name Column Headers
Step 2: Enter Column Names
Once the filter is added:
- Each column will have an input field
- Enter a name for each column (e.g., Name, Email, Amount)
Step 3: Save Your Rule
Save your parsing rule to apply the column headers.
Tips
- Use clear, consistent names for easier integration mapping
- Match column names to your destination system (e.g., CRM fields)
- Keep names simple to avoid confusion in exports
Summary
The Name Column Headers filter helps you label your table columns for clearer data.
Adding column names improves readability and reduces errors when exporting or integrating your parsed data.
